IMM is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. It is a way for book bloggers to post what they have received for review, borrowed from a friend, bought at the bookstore, or picked up at the library.  I have been a MAJOR slacker on my blog this past month so these books are ones that I have actually received over the past few weeks! (All summaries are courtesy of Goodreads.com):

For Review:

Vision by Beth Elisa Harris

Summary: Nighttime haunts Layla and dark secrets beckon to a mysterious island where a strange woman holds the answers.

Layla is a Clear wanted by Bane for a deadly game. Ancestors before her didn’t survive, and the only way for her to survive, is to open her heart…and choose love…before death closes in.

Layla arrives in Cambridge, England, a sixteen year-old high school student from Portland, Oregon, to attend Sixth College. Everything in her life is going according to plan. But she soon discovers no one in her life are who they seem, not even her family. Her Clear abilities that allow to read thoughts are stifled, and she becomes suspicious of those around her.

But there are reasons why Layla’s abilities are blocked, and only after a dangerous encounter does she begin to uncover the truth about the new people in her life, her past and family secrets, while Bane plot to use her as a pawn for world destruction.

My Thoughts: I have already read this & the review plus an interview will be up shortly! It is an excellent read full of romance with a little bit of a paranormal twist.

Dream Smashers by Angela Carlie

Summary: Sixteen-year-old Autumn has spent her entire life worrying about others. Her ailing grandma, meth-addicted mom, and a best friend who is always in trouble. She’s spent the last few years attempting to worry less, to be carefree, without success.

Enter Evan, whose radiant attitude is an Autumn magnet. With Evan at her side, Autumn’s able to let some of her worries go as they trudge through life’s difficulties and fall for each other in the process.

A girl who no longer wants to care and a boy who cares enough for the both of them, Dream Smashers is a love story, but most of all, it’s about letting go.

My Thoughts: Another book that I have already read and it is also amazing! It is a deep, sad, yet hopeful novel. The characters are wonderfully written and you will be rooting for them from beginning to end!

Between by Cyndi Tefft

Summary: It just figures that the love of Lindsey Water’s life isn’t alive at all, but the grim reaper, complete with a dimpled smile and Scottish accent.

After transporting souls to heaven for the last 300 years, Aiden MacRae has all but given up on finding the one whose love will redeem him and allow him entry through the pearly gates.

Torn between her growing attraction to Aiden and heaven’s siren song, Lindsey must learn the hard way whether love really can transcend all boundaries.

My Thoughts: I haven’t read this yet but it sounds wonderful! A story about the grim reaper falling in love; I can’t wait to read it!

Won:

Entwined by Heather Dixon

Summary:  Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her . . . beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing . . . it’s taken away. All of it.

The Keeper understands. He’s trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.

Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.

But there is a cost.

The Keeper likes to keep things.

Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

My Thoughts: First thanks to whoever I won this from! I am so, extremely sorry for forgetting the name but I won this a month ago and am drawing a complete blank! I’m halfway through this and I am just adoring it. Based off of the fairy tale The Twelve Dancing Princesses, it holds all the wonderful characteristics that a fairy tale should. I can’t wait to finish it!

Waterfall by Lisa T. Bergren

Summary: Lisa Tawn Bergren’s new YA series, River of Time, is romantic, historical fiction in which the plucky heroine doesn’t have to fear a vampire’s bite but must still fight for her life.

In Waterfall, American teenager Gabi Betarrini accidentally finds herself in Fourteenth-Century Italy . . . Knights. Swords. Horses. Armor. And Italian hotties. Most American teens want an Italian vacation, but the Betarrini sisters have spent every summer of their lives there with their archaeologist parents. Stuck on yet another hot, dusty dig, they are bored out of their minds… until they place their hands atop handprints in an ancient tomb and find themselves catapulted into the Fourteenth Century and in the middle of a fierce battle between knights bent on killing one another.

My Thoughts: This book sounds absolutely wonderful! History, Italy, and hot guys is SOOO up my alley. I have a feeling that I am really going to love this book. Thanks to Shannon at Stalking The Bookshelf & Lisa T. Bergren for this lovely signed & personalized book!

There is my mailbox for this week. Hope you enjoyed! Please leave your thoughts in the comments as well as a link to your IMM post and I will be sure to check it out!
